Campsite in Ardeche with pool

Gastronomic tour

The Ardeche is a region of France renowned for its authentic cuisine. With fresh and local ingredients, chefs from these regions create unique dishes that reflect the culinary identity of the region. When spending your vacation at Camping La Buissiere, we recommend that you take advantage of your excursions to taste some of the gastronomic specialties of the Ardèche:

- La Caillette: This specialty from the Ardéchoise region is a paté made of pork, aromatic herbs, garlic, onions and chard. It is often served as an appetizer with fresh bread.

- La Pissaladiere: Originating from the Montélimar region, the Pissaladière is a savory tart topped with caramelized onions, anchovies and black olives. It is often served as an appetizer.

- La Fougasse: The Fougasse is a flatbread typical of the Ardèche region, often topped with bacon, olives, goat cheese and aromatic herbs.

- Ravioles: Ravioles are small ravioli filled with cheese and parsley. Originating from the Montélimar region, they are often served with a tomato sauce or a cream sauce.

- Nougat: Nougat is a traditional confection from Montélimar made with honey, sugar, almonds and pistachios. It is often served as a dessert or with a coffee.

- Truffles: The Ardèche is also known for its truffles, a highly prized mushroom in cooking. Truffles are often used to flavor meat or pasta dishes.

- Wine: The Ardèche region also produces quality wines, including red and white wines. The wines of the region are often served with local dishes to complete the tasting.

- Emblematic of the Ardèche, chestnuts from the Ardèche are a must in the region.

- Finally, if you want to drink local and alcohol-free, Vals water comes from the Regional Natural Park of the Ardeche Mont in the thermal city of Vals-les-Bains.
